OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove doesn’t turn on, check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, it means a different part will have to be repaired. The cause of the issue could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove that doesn’t produce heat won’t do much good. Your oven does not heat if there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner will not turn on when an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and repair these issues in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER PROBLEMS

It is reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program functions are not working. If that is the case, we know how to replace control boards for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. OVEN IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the heat is too hot, it could be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen can diagnose the location of the issue and then repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is times where an igniter glows but won’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

New self-cleaning models of ovens are known to experience door problems. The door will not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to find out why the door doesn’t open up and then complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
